We admit that this season's quarter-finals weren't the highest scoring matches in Carling cup football, three games, three goals. But we lay the blame at the door of the referee that postponed the Liverpool Arsenal match, which was a guaranteed eight goal thriller. (Spooky, it was actually a nine-goal thriller.)

But don't let that put you off, there were still some tremendous strikes, Drogba's curler, Easter's cracker and Defoe's dubious effort, so sit back and enjoy the goals of the quarter-finals, we certainly did, we waited long enough for them.
